WORK FOR THE ELDERLY AND INCAPACITATED
As the financial world is becoming more complex and the average life expectancy is forever increasing it is important to make plans for your old age, and choose someone to look after you if you become unable to do so. This provides peace of mind for both you and the people close to you. We can help you by appointing attorneys to deal with your financial affairs and personal welfare and by advising you on the options available for either long or short term purposes.
If someone that you care for loses the ability to manage their affairs and they have not already made arrangements to deal with the situation we can advise you of the avenues available to you and assist you in applying to the Court of Protection for authority to manage their financial affairs.
The Mental Capacity Act 2005, which came into force on the 1st October 2007, brought with it the replacement of the Enduring Power of Attorney with the new style Lasting Power of Attorney and made significant changes to court procedure and our staff are fully trained to assist you with the current regime.
Our team has good connections with local doctors, hospitals and care homes are they able to arrange home visits if you not able to visit our office.
